The More The Merrier (1943) - NR
Ben Mankiewicz and producer George Stevens Jr., founding director of the American Film Institute, will introduce this highly entertaining film directed by Stevens' father. Jean Arthur and Joel McCrea star as a pair forced to share a D.C. apartment during a wartime housing shortage. Charles Coburn won an Oscar® for his deliciously comic performance.

While it appears you must have a ticket it does not guarantee you a seat. My advice for this movie (but it's true for all free things) is to get there early if you are interested, maybe at 7 pm.

It is a funny film, it's about the DC home front during WW II, and stars possibly my favorite film comedienne, the one and only Jean Arthur. What more could you ask for?
Enjoy,
George
