Hi All,

Here is a brief overview of some news since the last newsletter, plus
freestyle slalom courses below:

- The first ICP Slalom Instruction qualification will be taking place 21-23
May in Singapore. More info here:

- The first competition of the North American Slalom Series took place in
Miami, February So the new ranking has been announced, headed up by Denni
Palmer:

- The new Australian visit has been announced - Sydney 1/2 May, and
Melbourne 8/9 May. There is also expected to be a competition in Melbourne
on 9th May.

- New SkateFreestyle Team member Jack Nichols (UK) recently won the Miami
Mini-Battle. See an interview with him here:

- BattleUS is getting closer! Group accommodation has now been booked at San
Francisco's most acclaimed hostel. If you would like to book into one of the

- In the UK there are 2 competitions these coming two weekends. The first is
the start of the UK Slalom Series up in Nottingham this weekend, and on
Easter weekend the fun & chaotic Slalom Showdown will again take place as
part of the EasterSkate weekend and wreak havoc on the concept of fair
judging.

- 'Philly Freeskate' the weekend after BattleUS is expected to host a mini
slalom competition, come and join us!

- SkateFreestyle goes fully global: Naomi will no longer be based in London.
SkateFreestyle Workshops, Judging, ICP Slalom Instructor Qualifications,
Demos & Competition Organising will be taking place around the world all
year round, starting on April 20th 2010.

FREESTYLE SLALOM RETREATS:
- San Francisco - Following the BattleUS comp. (14-18 June 2010).
- Belgium - Uses weekend days so only 3 weekdays are used. (20-25 April
2010)
- London - TBA: July or August 2010

CLASSES IN UK:
Weekend Freestyle Slalom Workshops:
- 27/28 March - Nottingham (total 4 hours)
- 3/4 April - London
- July or August - London (TBA)
- 30/31 October - London
Next UK visit will be July/August. Workshops announced in next newsletter.
