Fascinating idea.  Better than Coyotes for the C&O Canal Tow Path.  Tire wear would seem to be a big problem, especially if you're t-stopping.  Having a tire blowout going downhill has got to be an exciting experience.  I notice they're wearing forearm protection in addition to wrist and elbow pads (maybe there's a reason for this?).  And the price tag is very high:  $3,500 to $5,000.  But it will be interesting to see how this turns out.  Love to try them out.
