[SkateDC] Eddy Matzger DC Area Workshop May 14 - May 16

Thanks everyone I really appreciate the advice/comments. Wow what a great skating community in the area! Until recently I didn't know it existed!

And Yes I really enjoy inline skating the experience was so exciting! I took my share of falls in my first days (well sometimes even now) but I'm hooked.

I'm relatively new, so I try to do some drills and exercises I see in youtube videos, but I know it's not the same than having training from experienced skaters.
I have become a fan of Eddy, he's just amazing! So I was so trilled to see his workshop coming up.

My concern/hesitation was - Not getting the most of it, (not a cheap workshop as one of you mentioned) waste money and time, not be able to keep up.
But I think the experience would be beneficial and a lot of fun.

My goal is speed skating actually so in a way I think this workshop would help and did I mention FUN? but Jane you raised some good points, taking local lessons and waiting for next year
would be a possibility. A few days ago I was looking for a inline skating group or lessons in my area and found skatersquest.com I'll definitely attend to some of their classes regardless if I attend Eddy's workshop or not ... although Eddy's clinic is just so tempting! oiiii.

I think if I take lessons, keep on training 4-5 days a week I might be ready for Eddy's. From now to May 14 I think I can be more prepared for this workshop...so I hope! This should be doable right? The parking garage offers me the opportunity of doing decent full laps and cross-overs but NOT major hills, so that's another thing I need to work on.

Anyway I tend to bla bla too much!
Thank you all for the input I really really appreciate it!

- Nadia
