Parade begins at 11:45 at Constitution and 7th Street NW. It ends at Constitution and 17th. The DC Rollergirls will skate in the parade.
I am the scheduled skate leader for the July 4th Sunday Intermediate Skate.
I want to tie-in the parade during the 9am Sunday Intermediate Skate. What we can do is finish up our Intermediate Skate in the vicinity of Constitution and 7th and see the parade preparations coming together. Perhaps that will be interesting, and maybe we can visit the Rollergirls if they are not too busy.
If we can get away with it, we will skate the parade route back to the White House, so we can wave to the hundreds of thousands of bored spectators waiting for the parade to start. I will try to get back to the White House by 11:05 so people can meet the Advanced Skate before it departs.
I will keep the route easy, so if you want to hang around for the parade afterwards you will not be too tired and sweaty. We will go to Eastern Market and maybe a couple of other points of interest on that side of town such as the re-developed H Street NE, Rock & Roll Hotel, etc.
