I have an extra free pass to an advanced screening of the movie "Splice" at AMC Loews Georgetown 14 (3111 K Street NW) tonight (Tuesday, 6/1/10) at 7:30 pm.

The pass doesn't guarantee a seat, but from my experience if you arrive
in line by 7:00 pm you should get at seat.  Also, I've had good luck
parking in Georgetown's residential neighborhoods north of M St
(although there is a 2 hour limit for those without resident
stickers, it doesn't seem to be aggressively enforced).

If you're interested in the pass, reply to me directly.  Sorry for the short notice, I though it was still May ;-)

Tagline and plot summary:

"Science's newest miracle...is a mistake.

Elsa and Clive, two young rebellious scientists, defy legal and ethical
boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing
together human and animal DNA to create a new organism. Named "Dren",
the creature rapidly develops from a deformed female infant into a
beautiful but dangerous winged human-chimera, who forges a bond with
both of her creators - only to have that bond turn deadly.

Review:

"I've often wondered what Mary Shelley's Frankenstein would
have
been like if it had been rewritten by Charles Darwin and turned into a
movie by David Cronenberg. Now I do not have to wonder! It would
probably be a lot like Splice, a delightfully twisted horror
thriller from Vincenzo Natali, director of 1997's sci-fi nightmare Cube."
