Last SotG flick of the season...

Monday, August 2 - BONNIE AND CLYDE. Meet Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker. They rob banks. Explosive (if romanticized) crime drama, set during the Depression, follows the Barrow gang's crime sprees from Kansas to Texas. (1967) 111 Min. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061418/)

Once again I will be staking out space with blue and gray tarps as close to front and center (with respect to the screen) as possible when I arrive sometime before 7 pm.  I will try to set up here:  http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=3867485 center of the screen as close to the front of the screen as possible.  I will be wearing blaze orange.  I will have a working mobile with me (upgraded to a new one with Arabic numerals, 301-367-8374).  The film should start sometime after sunset (8:18 pm).

Let me know if you're coming (and how many you are) so I can reserve the proper amount of space.  The weather looks good!

The location is the National Mall west of 4th Street, between Madison and Jefferson Drives.

There will be food vendors on the Independence Ave. side of the American Indian Museum (including Curbside Cupcake, DC Slices, Sauca and the Sweetflow Mobile).

Closest Metro stations are Archives/Navy Memorial, Smithsonian and L'Enfant Plaza.

Parking:  I'm recommending parking at L'Enfant Promenade where free on-street parking opens up at 6:30 pm.  You can probably get closer (it's at least a 6 block walk) but there should be spaces available there and I hate driving around looking for parking.

Cheers,
George
