Wow!  The NightLife t-shirt color* is so exceptionally resplendent and awesomely scintillating that it broke the regular link ;-)  You might want to don sunglasses before viewing.  Here then, is an industrial-strength link that I hope will work better...

The Roadskater.net Road Skating and Cycling Jerseys are very nice, and
at $49 (plus $5 shipping) are a fair value.  Also, I have known Blake
Lambert for many years and I've never heard anyone complain about either
his jerseys or him.  He's a good guy and it's a good jersey, so if
you're in the market for one I'd encourage you to order from Blake.

That said, this seems like a good time to update the status of the 2010
edition of our own WAR t-shirt.

This is _preliminary_ information only, the details are in the process
of being worked out fully, and most importantly final board approval has
 not yet been obtained, but...

We are hard at work on a proposed design and have identified a possible
t-shirt blank.  The t-shirt we're looking at is a Brooks Podium Short
Sleeve in a highly visible, intensely bright yellow color called
NightLife (it's been described as the color of a yellow highlight marker
;-) It is made by the same manufacturer, and out of the same material,
as our 2009 (black, skater dude) and 2006 (white, diplomatic plate) club
shirts:  lightweight and breathable, 100% moisture-transfer technical
fabric.  There are men's and women's versions, with the women's version
featuring slightly shorter length sleeves.  Here's a picture of the
women's version to give you an idea of what the color looks like:  http://tinyurl.com/yellow-t-shirt
It's even more blindingly bright in person!

As usual we are planning to sell them at cost, but this year we are
seriously considering

doing pre-paid orders.  The reason for that is that it will help
guarantee that people get exactly the size shirt they order and it will
relieve the club of an expensive inventory investment and inventory
management responsibility.  We _may_ order additional shirts without
pre-paid orders, but the only way to guarantee you will get a t-shirt in
your size and sex will be by pre-paid order.  The price is still being
worked out, but it looks like it will be in the $20 - $30 range.  The
more shirts we order, the lower the price per shirt will be, since we
may receive a discount for quantity and the fixed design and printing
costs can be spread over more shirts.

Once all details have been worked out, and the t-shirt has been approved
by the board, we will be able to present more information.  I just
wanted to reassure everyone that progress toward a 2010 t-shirt is being
made as we speak, and I'm pretty confident we will be able to offer a
t-shirt in a little while.

Thanks for your patience!

Cheers,

George

P.S.  and thanks to Blake for providing me the impetus to let people
know what's going on even though it's not all worked out yet --
overcoming my innate reluctance to talk about anything before it's fully
formed, reinforced over many years by nebulous projects that never went
anywhere but rather evaporated frustratingly into the ether ;-)
