We used a fairly easy route that lacked big hills. We enjoyed the lack of
traffic, a great benefit of an early morning Sunday Skate. Visited Gangplank
Marina, the Titanic Memorial, the baseball stadium, the Dept of Transportation
educational park, the Navy Museum, Eastern Market, and the Building Museum. We
also admired a new pedestrian bridge near the river close to the Washington Navy
Yard. That path was not yet open, but it is starting to look very good. Soren &
Sabina took lots of photos, hope we get those posted soon. We posed on top of a
submarine conning tower and in the muzzle of a huge gun. George and Celine came
along also. We finished in time to visit with Jackeline while she was preparing
for the Advanced Skate. George and I skated with Jackeline too, but I peeled off
pretty soon when we got near my parking spot.
