The Empire Skate Club of New York's eight annual Big Apple Roll Weekend -
BAR 2010 is an exciting weekend, Friday-Saturday- Sunday, August 6-8,
2010, of group skates, adventures, touring, exploring and experiencing
New York City on skates. Party with old friends, make new ones, feel the
rush of skating the New York City streets. Enjoy the City’s beautiful
scenery, smooth pavement, rolling hills and fast straight-aways. Central
Park is also the capital of dance skating where you can join the world's
greatest skate dancers for a truly unique experience. City skating,
island hopping, beaches, parks, night life and of course close-by Times
Square. 

REQUIRED: All must bring a GREAT ATTITUDE FOR SAFE SKATING FUN + GREAT

Park Skate Patrol invites you to roll with its THURSDAY EVENING SKATE

-- SKATE LEVEL AND BIKES:

BAR 2010 is for intermediate to expert skaters capable of easily handling
moderate pace street skating in groups, able to keep up with the group,
skate in traffic, during the day and/or night, stopping and turning on
all terrain, following all traffic laws. Bikers are welcomed as long as
they keep in mind that skaters kick-out. Therefore, bikers must give
skaters adequate space at all times by riding in the back, front or side

         We are selecting
from a couple of exceptional options for the BAR's Friday Night Social
Venue, after Friday Evening Skate, for food, drink, socializing and
dancing!

SATURDAY AFTERNOON:       Picnic /
Lunch: Pizza buy-in, bring your own, or purchase close-by. Hang and
socialize with other skaters, watch and/or take part in Slalom Demo +
Competition! Win raffle prizes!

SATURDAY
NIGHT:   
         BAR has a fun,
popular, should I say famous, nightclub set-up for free entry, close to
BAR hotel, for dancing and socializing!

-- EXCITING FREESTYLE SLALOM / CONES DEMO AND COMPETITION! :

Saturday, during lunch at the picnic area. Champion slalom skaters who
are fantastic and phenomenal to watch will be competing. Other great
skaters will participate, and beginners as well. So make sure to come
watch and join-in if you like. This is sponsored by the North American
Slalom Series (NASS) of Freestyle Slalom-Skating
