Unfortunately I can't get to that link at work but from their past videos I have yet to see them showing anyone climbing a hill...but if you can afford $10,000 for skates then you can probably just take a taxi to the top.

Just when I was beginning to think that Chariot Skates, like boomerangs, were one of those things that only really worked in Australia, along comes evidence to the contrary. Chariot Skates, as this video clearly demonstrates, apparently work in Cannes, France as well:

You may notice the wheels have gotten larger, four inches larger in fact. There's now a 24" model. Some may be offered for sale in time for Christmas, and if you've got $10,000 burning a hole in your pocket I hear they make great stocking stuffers. If you should be lucky enough to stuff your stockings into these things, it looks like you would be able to skate comfortably in anything less than 3 inches of snow. Which would allow you to skate here year-round (OK, maybe not last year, but most years ;-)
