[SkateDC] Membership Meeting date 2/26

Hey, isn't there a very special episode of Blossom on that night?

Just
kidding.  I really do encourage everyone to come on out to the
meeting.  The food and drink are both quite good at Cap City, and it's
very nice to see people we haven't seen in some time.  Attending the winter meeting
is an excellent way to find out what's going on with the club and to
have some input into what goes on in the future.  It's a perfect
opportunity to discuss suggestions and new ideas.

We haven't
press-ganged people to serve on the board for several years now so you
needn't stay away for fear of that happening this year.  However, if
you'd like to help out with any of the club activities (board, t-shirt,
regular skates, special skates, Skate DC Weekend, the website, etc.)
it's also a great opportunity to discuss that.  We will be electing a
new board that night so it's your opportunity to run for a position
yourself and/or vote for the candidates for the new board.  Volunteers
of all sorts are welcome and needed to help insure the future health of
the club.  Bring any t-shirt ideas you may have.

Hope
to see everyone there.  And I'm not just saying that.  Since I was one
of the people urging Carl to postpone the meeting, I'm hoping there
will be a nice turnout (we've had 20 people in previous years).

   Since we have lingering Snowpocalyptic fallout today and Great  
EsSkate is next week, we will hold the meeting on 2/26.  7 pm, Cap City.

   Hopefully this is a decent heads-up to plan for it.
