Mary Phillips, Leslie, and another friend visited the White House while Eryx and I were getting started on the Intermediate Skate. We visited with them for a few minutes. They were on bikes, headed off to Virginia. The three of them talked about getting back into skating soon, all of them have serviceable skates already.

This was a chance meeting. They were not even aware that the Intermediate Skate had moved from 11 to 9 this summer.
