Skating with the Real World DC cast and crew while they're filming:  Not quite priceless, but certainly not something one sees every day.
 
Something else doesn't see every day - a (non-Real World) skater accidentally sliced her calf with her skate, with blood pooling on the ice, and KCI had to rush to treat her and call for the ambulance.  I said to the producers of the show "Now there's some real television", and they just shook their heads and continued filming the pseudo-reality that is the Not Quite Real World.
 
The interesting part is, since I didn't have a camera or a iPhone or a Twitter feed or a Facebook page, I can't even prove it happened. For realz.

If the weather is ever too bad to skate on Wednesday night, I highly recommend the 7:45-8:45pm open skate at Kettler.  The faciities are quite nice, the ice and rental skates are far superior to the dreck at the Sculpture Garden, plus you never know who you might run into.
