For those of you into this sort of thing, you can track runners progress on a map of the marathon route in real time.  It's kinda cool.  The site is http://live.activeresult.com/maptrack/mcm/

At 8:42 they've just climbed the first big ascent and are somewhere on Spout Run heading to the GW Parkway.  They've all done about 3.11 miles and are awaiting the first split time.  So far the little red, blue, green, and yellow dots (representing Lynn, Karin, Jen, and Carl, respectively) are still together...

Just got Carl's first 5K split:  31:39  (which I guess is minutes elapsed to complete 5 K)
and pace:  10:10:48 (which I guess is minutes elapsed to complete a mile) 

and Jen's first 5K split:  37:20
and pace:  12:03:23

If these seem slow remember they were going up one of two big hills on the course.

Don't get too enthralled in the technology and forget to come out for the 11 AM skate!
