Public Hearing

A public hearing regarding the proposed skate park
will be held at 7:30 p.m. Jan 28 during the Takoma
Park City Council meeting in the Municipal Building,
7500 Maple Ave.

My comments: The skate park may replace a couple of
tennis courts in Takoma Piney Branch park near Ed
Wilhelm Field. It will have half-pipes and grind
rails. Inline skates, skateboards, and scooters will
be welcome. 

This park is close enough to the White House for
Advanced Sunday skates and maybe even Wednesday skates
to use for a destination. It is also very close to our
Rock Creek Park training area.
