the end of the long straight downhill turn left on Fordson Road and then
left onto Sherwood Hall Road. Turn right at the first light onto Parkers
Lane which changes to Collingwood Road. After crossing a creek take the
second right on Riverside Road. About 1 mile down turn right on Cavendish
Dr and then left onto Culpeper Road. The start/finish is one block away on
Londonderry Road.
Volunteers are needed!

The current<BR>world record of 326 miles will require him to maintain an average speed of<BR>13.7 mph to achieve his goal of 330 miles. Kent had previously attempted to<BR>break the record in 1999, skating 252 miles in 19.25 hours in San Francisco.<BR>Now, he will try again in his hometown, Alexandria. <BR><BR>Last year Kent placed in the top 15 in international fields in the 4<BR>endurance skating races he attended, and took 2nd place at the local Skate<BR>of the Union Race. He is the leader of the WAR/NRGbars.com speed-skating<BR>team which is sponsored by the Washington Area Roadskaters (WAR), the local<BR>skating club. He first started skating with the club 7 years ago, is a<BR>former board member, and continues to lead weekly skates around the<BR>Washington area.
