Hey all,
Here's an option for July 4th skating, in Atlantic City. I've done
this skate a couple of times and enjoyed it very much.

In Chuck's words:(No panic, Chuck's still around, just not skating
with us - maybe.)
SUN FUN FOOD DRINK!!
FEEL THE ENERGY IN ATLANTIC CITY!!!
Another Atlantic City Skate Saturday July 4th, 2009 at 10:30 AM.
We'll be back in time for any festivities that you have planned back
in the city.
We will meet in front of Boardwalk Hall on the boardwalk between
Georgia and Mississippi Avenues. We'll do some boardwalk skating
first. It's pretty smooth on the Atlantic City boards and all you have
to do is shift your weight back a drop and enjoy the vibes. It's a lot
of fun, kind of like you're inside a video game. We'll then head out
to the smooth streets of Ventnor, Margate and Longport to the end of
the island and then double back with a drink break at
WAWA or the Greenhouse in Margate (take your pick). Then back to the
Atlantic City boards to the Inlet for lunch and beer or whatever. The
skate back will go near Boardwalk Hall for those who do not want to go
to the inlet.
We will probably end up doing about 18 miles (about 4 or five on the
boardwalk) and, while we are skating, it will be at a Tuesday night
pace. We will stop and wait for stragglers to catch up, but no
beginners or novices please.
Since we are going out to the end of Longport and back, those of you
who want to, can stop at The Greenhouse on the way out to Longport and
we'll hook up again on the way back, thus taking about four or five
miles off the trip. No hills- beautiful surfaces on the streets.
KEEP THE TRADITION GOING!!
Maybe there will be a guest appearance by Chuck. Right, Chuck?
