Ah I see you also posted a message to both the DCH4 and Washington
Roadskaters web sites . A skater and a Hasher...cool.

The answers are a bit the same for both gruoups...it depends.

For skating there is the Friday night skate which tours the national
mounnmets. all skates start at the White House. Friday's skate then goes
around the Ellipse, up Pennsylvania Ave to the Captiol then down the mall
passing the major museums to the Washington Mounment. Then to the Tidal
Basin with an additional option to go around Hains Point. Then past the
Jefferson Memorial and the Roosevelt memorial to the Lincoln Memorial. From
there most go to a restaurant on Pennsylvania avethe Froggy Bottom cafe for
pizza and beer. The Sunday skates (Intermediate or advanced) also start at
the White House at 11 but from there go a route planned by the leader.
Sometimes the leaders post the route. There is also a Wed night
Intermediate skate. Most skates start 15 min past the posted time.

Like WAR, the DCH4 usually starts at 15 min after the posted time. There is
no usual run and there are no rules as to amounts of shiggy though shiggy
is a highly desired quality for a good run.. Good beer would be the other
highly desired quality. The locations for the run and directions usually
get posted by Thursday.
