[SkateDC] Skates in Froggy Bottom

Until you hear differently from Hyen (Froggy Bottom Pub proprietor) please do not enter Froggy Bottom with skates on.  Skates are allowed outside of the restaurant, specifically on the front patio under the awning, but not inside the restaurant.  If you go into the restaurant, do so without wearing skates.  Wearing socks inside the restaurant is OK.

I highly recommend wearing shoes while at Froggy.  Either carry shoes while you skate, or park close enough to Froggy that you can change into shoes before entering the restaurant.

We skaters have been going to Froggy Bottom Pub for a long time and we have had a very good relationsip with the owners.  We can restore that relationship with some intelligent behavior and I hope eventually be allowed back into the restaurant on skates.

Due to some recent incidents we are not currently in Hyen's good graces.  I don't recommed asking Hyen why we are currently banned from Froggy on skates.  If asked she will tell you the whole story (if you're extremely unlucky, she may even tell you the whole story if you don't ask), but expect it to take at least an hour of your time, involve a considerable amount of repetition, and feature the use of very colorful language.  Hyen regaled the usual Wednesday Night after skate group with the story, and I guarantee you that none of us is anxious for a repeat performance.  If you are nonetheless curious and would like to hear her reasons I will give you the Reader's Digest version, expletives deleted, off-line.

Behave as if you were a guest in someone's home, be nice in other words, and it's possible that this will all blow over.
