[SkateDC] correction: dates of PhiliFree

Well, at least I got the location right.  It is Philadelphia, isn't it?

After consulting several calendars some of which were even for the current year, and ignoring my horoscope which strongly recommended I not make any comments about dates today, I can confirm that Susan is correct:

Philly Free Skate is in fact the weekend of JUNE 21, 2009.

It's easy to forget about June since it doesn't get nearly the publicity of its more famous siblings May and July.  If it weren't for all the weddings I don't think we would even notice June at all.

For instance, I'll bet you didn't know that in both common and leap years no other month begins on the same day of the week as June.  May is the only other month for which this is also true.  This important fact, once committed to memory, may someday get you a free drink at a bar, or win you a considerable sum at a Cash Cab Red Light Challenge.

Now, I think I'll take my horoscope's advice and avoid mentioning any more dates for the rest of the day.

Cheers,
George

Of course, that should be Sunday, July 21, 2009.

Thanks, Scott for catching that error.  I'd be a lot more careful if I
actually thought anyone read these things ;-)

Cheers,
George

Then how about leading a skate on Sunday (5/21/09) at 11 AM for the rest of
us stay-at-homes.

If you'd like to volunteer to lead this skate, please reply to this email.

We'll get you set up, even suggest a route if that's that what you want.

This is a golden opportunity to get in on the wonderfully rewarding career
of skate leadership on the ground floor.  All the other skate leaders will
be in Philadelphia, so there will be no one around to criticize your
performance, just a bunch of very grateful skaters, who if not for you
leading this skate, would be sitting at home watching the 'Golden Girls'
marathon on TV.

Cheers,
George
