[SkateDC] IMPORTANT -- PLEASE READ -- START TIME CHANGE FOR SUNDAY INTERMEDIATE SKATE

This Sunday (5/10/09, Mother's Day) we will be starting the 

Sunday INTERMEDIATE Skate EARLIER

at 9 AM

rather than the usual starting time of 11 AM.

The Sunday ADVANCED Skate will start at the usual 11 AM starting time.

This is an experiment.for this Sunday.  If you like the earlier start time, please show up and show your support.  If you don't like the earlier start time, please show up anyway, but feel free to complain (moaning and gnashing of teeth are acceptable).

There are a number of potential benefits to a 9 AM starting time for the Sunday INTERMEDIATE Skate, among them:

1)  The Intermediate Skate would be over around 11 AM, leaving people more of
 the rest of the day to do other things.

2)  When the summer heat starts, it would be nice to skate in the relative coolness of the morning.

3)  Some people are morning people and may be more likely to come out at an earlier time.

4) 
For the very ambitious it will now be possible (as it was in the past)
to do both the Intermediate and Advanced skates, back-to-back.

5)  The Intermediate and Advanced skaters will still see each other around 11 AM.

6) 
Bill would like to give this a try, and as he's the only Sunday
Intermediate Skate leader at the moment it seemed only fair that he get
a chance to do this.

7)  Finally, if people don't get the word
about the Sunday Intermediate Skate time change and come out at 11 AM,
they will still have the option of joining the Advanced Skate at that
time.
