Another skating video from the talented Gustavo Adolfo Martinez Hidalgo, this one is from Saturday of the Great EsSkate 2009.  Appropriate to the sense of loss caused by Dr. Cohen's death and the somewhat gloomy weather, this video features an almost funereal score -- most unusual for a skating video -- full of drama, pathos, and under-girded with a profound sense of foreboding.  The skaters, subdued but purposeful, seem grimly determined to finish the skate,  whatever it takes. It makes me look forward to see what Gustavo does with the Sunday skate.
