[SkateDC] A couple of skating announcements

Hello all,

It's time for me to come up for air and keep y'all up to date on some  
administrative stuff.

At our meeting on January 30, the WAR "membership" conducted a small  
amount of business.  The "board" for 2009 is:

President - Carl Ford (same as last year)
Skate Coordinator - George Marinkovich (same as last year)
Treasurer - Susan Burgerman
Rock Creek Park Clinic coordinator - Danny Donoghue

Much appreciation was expressed for the work that Joe Kramer has put  
into the Rock creek clinic for these many years, and for Danny  
Donoghue's work as Treasurer for a few years as well.

The date for the Inaugural Skate was set at April 5.  We will skate  
for about two hours and go to Cap City Brewing at 11th and H for  
lunch.  More info to come.

In addition, SkateDC Weekend is set for May 1, 2, and 3.  The hotel  
for our out-of-town guests is the Homewood Suites this year.  We will  
attempt a Wilson bridge skate on that Saturday, assuming that the bike  
path is open. Susan Burgerman will be handling the updates for SkateDC  
Weekend on the skate list.

Lastly, if anyone has comments, concerns, ideas, or something else,  
please get in touch with me about it.  After all, the skates are put  
on for you...
