Great job by all! Jeffrey was skating with some top notch competition! John C was part of the sub 5-hour A2A group last year (that I fell off from 50 some miles in). So was Marcy T, who finished first at the Badger State Games yesterday, in front of us boys! The pictures show the A2A-esque hill just before the finish that seperated the girl from the boys on a course that was nearly 30 miles long.

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to share the Napa Marathon results.
Jeffrey Neal: 1 hour 16 minutes Bronze Medal Winner
Jennifer Swalwell: 1 hour 49 minutes Gold Medal Winner
Jim Dillard: 2 hours 2 minutes Silver Medal Winner
The entire course was on the Silverado Trail near Napa's Stag Leap District. The pavement was brand new and excellent for skating. The Marathon skaters did two laps on a rolling course with one main hill. I caught two pacelines and really enjoyed not skating the full 26.2 miles alone for the first time. I also had the dizzypukes at the end of the race, so I knew I really worked hard!!! Jeffrey caught some amazing pacelines and had an outstanding time. Maybe compression shorts and Sterotape really do work. Jim also had a fantastic race and Jim's wife, Mary, cheered us on. Jim's secret to a successful race is a blended green pre-race superfood. The concoction served him well! Jeffrey and I skated to the top of the last hill to pull Jim in for a speedy finish. The awards ceremony was held in Yountville park. Pictures from the ceremony are attached.
I would highly recommend this race. There were about 125 skaters of all abilities. The skaters and the event coordinators were very friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to this race (and winetasting! ) next year.
Best,
Jennifer
