There was an error in the previous email concerning who would lead this Wednesday Night's Skate (6/3/09).
Jeffrey is leading the Wednesday Night Advanced Skate next week (6/10/09).
We need a leader for this Wednesday Night's skate (6/3/09).
Thanks,
George

Friday Night (6/5/09) Beginner Skate, leaves 7 pm from the White House, led by
George Marinkovich or anyone who remembers the route from last time.

SPECIAL SATURDAY SKATE:
Saturday (6/6/09) Wilson Bridge Trail Opening Skate, leaves 11 am from the White House, led by Carl Ford.
The holy grail of bike trails in the Washington DC area opens on
June 6 at 1 pm. I propose to leave the White House at 11 am, skate
thru Old Town, and be on the Virginia side when the path opens. We'll
skate across the river to National Harbor on the Maryland side, and
come back to the White House the way we came. I hope to be back at the
White House by a little after 3.
If you would like to meet us at the bridge, we will be at South
Washington St and Green Street a little before 1 pm.
WABA is having bicycle convoys meet at the bridge for the opening,
so there should be quite a fuss when the path opens. Let's have a
good turnout and have our own skate convoy!

Sunday (6/7/09) Intermediate Skate, leaves 11 am from the White House, led by Bill English.
Sunday (6/7/09) Advanced Skate, leaves 11 am from the White House, led by Kent Gunlicks.
WAR skates are held if no precipitation is occurring and the road surface is dry or drying. However, the final decision as to whether a skate will be held rests solely on the best judgment of the skate leader.
See the www.skatedc.org website for additional information about upcoming skates.
Happy skating,
George
