[SkateDC] starting Freestyle Slalom skating practice group

Thanks to those who came out to our first weeks practice.  This week (same time, same place) I will bring handouts on some of the basics of form and the easy “easy” moves.  I will also bring a cooler of drinking water, chalk, and measuring tape.   Bring your cones if you have them and a helmet for safety.  

Our location will be the Washington & Lee H.S parking deck (off of 15th and Quincy) in Arlington (near Ballston Mall, MapQuest link blelow, see my note too).  We will be meeting between 9-1030 Saturday mornings, with a
15 minute lesson to the extent that i can teach.  I hope that this is not too early for folks but i want to avoid the heat of the day and since this area is used by other *skaters i want to get there early enough to stake out some space (there is plenty of space).

*The space is about 1/2 the size of a football field with a painted concrete surface. 1/2 of the space is a hockey area and the other half is for any use.

Note: From the star drive past Rt 66 and turn left onto 15th St N.  There is street parking and 2 entrances to the mostly underground parking deck.  The skate area is above ground between the parking decks.
