[SkateDC] Sunday more or less advanced skate

Skaters,

 

For today's advanced skate, we'll do the same route we've done a few times this year through Rock Creek, exiting on Beach Drive and then Portal to Eastern, crossing the pedestrian bridge over the tracks at Jessup Blair Park, stopping briefly at the farmers market in Takoma Park, and then back along Eastern/Kansas/14th.

 

I haven't been skating in quite a while so no one should have to worry about keeping up.

Continue on 15th
RG corner 15th and Irving
 
We will try to bypass the construction on Park Road,
Left on Park road
 
Heading downhill towards rock creek, take the R fork to stay on Park road
Use caution at intersection with Beach Drive
RG at Pierce Mill in Rock Creek Park
 
Trailhead to Beach Dr, brief RG
 
RG corner of Beach Dr and Joyce road
 
RG again at gate at top of hill
 
Right fork at bottom of hill onto W Beach Dr
Quick RG at corner of East Beach and W Beach
R on East Beach Drive
L at T with Kalmia
R on Portal
RG Corner Portal and Eastern
 
R on Eastern
RG at corner with Georgia Ave
 
Cross Georgia to Jessup Blair Park
Take pedestrian walkway over train tracks
R on Fenton
R on Takoma (becomes eastern)
R on Cedar
L on Carroll
RG at Takoma Farmers Market
 
L on Eastern
R on North Capital (do not miss small sign right past crest of hill)
RG at corner with Kansas
 
R on Kansas
RG at corner with 13th.
 
Cut over to 14th                                                                                                                                                                   
 Return to Whitehouse.
