[SkateDC] REMINDER: WAR Annual Meeting is this Friday, January 30, 2009

Everyone with an interest in skating, in particular skating with the Washington Area Roadskaters, is encouraged to attend the WAR Annual Meeting at 7 pm, Friday, January 30, 2009. 

Topics related to inline skating will be discussed: the state of our regular skates, Skate DC Weekend 2009, ideas and plans for the coming year, etc.  The meeting will be chaired by President Ford.

WAR Board members for the coming year will be elected by those present.  The current board consists of Carl Ford as President, Danny Donoghue as Treasurer, and George Marinkovich as Head Skate Leader.  

Carl has kindly offered to bring some beer (thanks Carl) and we will be ordering pizza during the meeting.

Once again Susan and Andrew have graciously offered to let us meet at their house in DC. Thanks Susan and Andrew!

On street parking at the time of the meeting is usually available if you don't mind a short walk. (I've had good luck on 7th and 8th Sts. NE.) 

The closest Metro Station is at Union Station.  The walk up Massachusetts Ave. to their place is just under a mile. It is also within walking distance from Eastern Market and Capitol South Metro Stations.
