[SkateDC] Inauguration Shame-O-Gram

Carl, thanks for leading today's skate.  Sounds like the skating was fun, especially on the streets we normally don't get to skate.

Fortunately the quality of the skate is not related to the quantity of the skaters.

I'm sure more people might have come out if they could have skated to Dupont Circle from home.  Or if they didn't have to work today.  Or any of a number of other reasons that come to mind.

For those who don't live downtown, it should be a little easier to get into and out of the city for the Wednesday Night Skate.

Cheers,
George

Those of you who did not skate today missed out! Seven of us experienced:

-watch the inauguration ceremony from the Lincoln Memorial
-skate the GW parkway from the Memorial Bridge to the Key Bridge
-skate the Whitehurst Freeway
-get taped for a Pepsi commercial
-get our picture taken for Last Exit magazine
-skate 395 through the 3rd street tunnel twice

And after lunch at RFD, I got to skate home via 395, the SE/SW
Freeway, and the 6th St SE exit to Capitol Hill.
