This email was not intended to go to the entire skate list (yet) as it was only a preliminary schedule.  Sorry to all for this unfortunate peek behind the curtain.  I hope it will not be as traumatizing as finding out how sausage is made,   Expect to see the official announcement of the schedule on Thursday evening.

If there are no schedule conflicts, I would like to publish to the skate list
Thursday evening.

Announcements:

1.  The Inaugural Skate is Sunday, April 5, 2009.  By tradition it is a
combined skate led by the President.  Perhaps a trip to Cap City Brew Pub is in
order after the skate.

2.  Daylight Saving Time 
              begins each year at 2 a.m. on the second Sunday of March (3/8/09
this year). Move clocks 
              ahead one hour at the start of Daylight Saving Time.  

3.  Intermediate Sunday Skates are scheduled to start with the Inaugural Skate
(4/5/09).  However, if someone would like to lead an intermediate Sunday skate
before that time, please let me know and I'll put it on the schedule.  If
there aren't volunteers to lead an intermediate skate before 4/5/09, then
the Sunday Advanced Skate will be a combined Intermediate/Advanced skate until
that date.

4.  The Friday Night Skate is scheduled to resume on Friday (4/10/09). 
However, we can always start the Friday Night Skates earlier in the season if
the weather cooperates.

5.  The "This Week's Skates" announcement seems to be working
(when I remember to do it in a timely manner) so I will continue with that.

Thanks to everyone for continuing to lead skates, it's the most important
thing our club does.
