I'll always remember Bill's smile.  His warmth brightened the rainy EuroRoll in Brussels, where we often hit the movie theaters instead of the streets.  What an appropriate city in which to watch "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"!  We also bonded because of our connections to people with disabilities.  My brother Brian has Williams Syndrome.  Bill was one of the few people I've met who knew what that was.  We had another small-world moment when we realized that his then-future daughter-in-law used to work at my old law firm. 

We were on many skate trips together, including this most recent one in South Beach.  The weekend was just starting, and I hadn't yet had a chance to see him.  His death was such a shock.  I can't believe he's gone.
