Well, is this coming to DC?

Could this be done on skates in DC?

Highly unlikely.

First of all this was put together by highly trained athletes, in other words, by runners.  How would a group of skaters cope with the physical demands of such a daunting endeavor?

Second, it would require a group of people who possess both brightly-colored clothing and cell phones.  While such an unlikely combination can probably be found in a large metropolis (e.g., NYC, Lyon) it would be folly to believe such individuals could be found in DC.

Third, it would require a state-of-the-art command center, and what are the odds that such a facility could be found in the capital of the world's last remaining superpower.  Why, we would be lucky to scrape together a large whiteboard and some markers.

And finally, where would we find a grid of streets with nice pavement and minimal traffic in DC?

No, my friends, I'm afraid it could never happen here ;-)

Cheers,
George
