The helmet you lent to the skater on Friday is in my possession and I will have it with me on the  Sunday and Wednesday skates.  The skater who borrowed it thanks you very much for your generosity, and we thought I would keep it as I'm more likely to see you sooner and effect it's return.

It's not the first time you've lent it out to skaters who have been without a helmet, which is indeed a very nice thing to do.  Rest assured your helmet is in stable condition and is resting comfortably.
