Zürich, Switzerland (NPI) - The Principality of Liechtenstein, having grown
increasingly dissatisfied with being only one of two doubly landlocked
countries in the world, last night loaded the entire contents of the nation
onto 27 semi-trailers in the dead of night. The convoy of vehicles was last
seen at 7:00 (GMT) this morning outside of the Austrian town of Bregenz,
heading north on Autostrada E43. While the final destination of the
Liechtenstein convoy is currently uncertain, it has been reported in
yesterday's Wiener Zeitung that one of the truck drivers allegedly contract
-ed for the move boasted to neighbors that he would be drinking Absolut in
the sauna in
the very near future. Other sources
in a position to know have
said that an unusual number of people traveling on diplomatic passports
issued by Liechtenstein have been seen recently in Malmö, Sweden.
Rumors have circulated in that city that a large parcel of land adjacent to
the 2.5 kilometres long Ribbersborg beach, frequently referred to as
”Scandinavia`s Copacabana," has recently been purchased by a
consortium of as yet unidentified foreign entities. Reports that Mr. Klaus
Tschütscher, Prime Minister of Liechtenstein, was seen at an IKEA last
weekend, where he was said to have purchased 26.400 € worth of
Trofast stackable storage containers, first surfaced on Monday. When
questioned later that day by reporters camped outside his home in
Vaduz, the Prime Minister issued a terse "no comment at this time"
moments before abruptly closing the door on his Volvo XC70 station
wagon and driving
away.

Wow, I just recently heard from someone that the Liechtenstein embassy in DC recently moved from 888 17th St NW to 2900 K Street NW, Suite 602B. The Swedish Embassy just happens to be located at 2900 K Street NW. Now it all makes perfect sense!
Cheers,
George
P.S. The Liechtenstein embassy _really_ did move into a suite in the Swedish Embassy and so the West Embassy Loop Skate Route Cue Sheet has been duly updated. I was originally misled by out-dated information on the web, but fortunately a friend of a skater on this list actually works at the Embassy of Liechtenstein and passed along the correct address. Thanks, Brandon, for the correction.
Please note that Liechtenstein didn't really move to the beach in Malmo, Sweden. If you think about that for more than a few minutes you can see how silly that would be. If Liechtenstein were going to move
somewhere they would be much more likely to move in next to Monoco in the south of France, and I can't see Liechtenstein needing to use more than about 15 semi-trailers to do it. Liechtenstein really is a doubly landlocked country though, but I'm not sure just how upset the Liechtensteinians are about that. They've had a long time to get used to it.
