[SkateDC] Wilson Bridge path status, or why a saws-all may be a good skate tool

On my way to work today, I biked to National Harbor to check on the
Wilson Bridge path status, on a hunch. There is very good news and
very bad news.
The very good news is that except for a short spur to National Harbor,
the entire Wilson Bridge path is paved. I biked as far as I could
before I discovered the very bad news. The very bad news is that
there is still a 7-foot-tall plywood barrier on each end of the Wilson
Bridge span, preventing a trip across the river.
I took pictures with my phone camera. I will post a link to the
pictures later today.
Please go and take a look at skatedcweekend.info and check out the
"Wilson Bridge" skate on the Schedule page. This is the baseline plan
for the Wilson Bridge skate. If the plywood barriers go away, we will
skate the bridge instead of taking the water taxi.
If anyone has any ideas about how to make plywood barriers either (a)
permeable or (b) gone this week , I'm all ears.
