Hello all,

I will be rehearsing the SkateDC "Wilson Bridge" Skate on Sunday 4/19,
leaving the White House at regular skate time. Unfortunately, the
Bridge is not open to skaters or any other non-car traffic yet, but
there is a ferry across the river.

My plan is to skate to National Harbor, where I'll get a quick bite
and catch the ferry that leaves at 1:55 pm and arrives in Old Town
just after 2:00. Once in Old Town, I'll skate back to DC via the Mt
Vernon trail. I am planning to skate at a leisurely pace to reflect
the pace of a large group of skaters. If you would like to join me,
feel free to do so. I imagine that I'll return to DC between 3 and
3:30.

This does not replace the regular skate, but I offer it as an option
should anyone want to join me.

I must point out:
-you must carry shoes/sandals for this skate. I'm sure that the ferry
requires it, and there may be a couple of additional places where the
pavement is bad.
-The ferry costs $8.
