 Eddy Matzger has a Skate Farm in Floyd, VA. That's about 280 miles southwest of DC. This week, Eddy will be conducting his world reknown skate workshop in and around this new facility in the hills of SW Virginia. Advance registration required. This is a 3 day session (May 16-18). There will also be two sessions in June and one in September. See http://www.skatefarm.com for details.
