Intermediate approximately 9 miles in 2 hours, Advanced approximately 12 miles in 2 hours. The first Sunday of each month will have shorter, less hilly routes than the other Sunday tours during the whole 2003 season. WAR is relaxing the difficulty of these skates in order to encourage skaters to try advancing up to a new skating group.

Similar to the Friday Monument Loop skates we host during daylight savings time, but in the reverse skating direction. Be prepared for darkness and cool temperatures. Bring shoes if you want to go to the Hawk-n-Dove restaurant near Capitol Hill.

Sat, 22   9:00-3:30 Skate Patrol Training led by: Joe Kramer <jkramer7@cox.net>
All interested parties are welcome to attend, both returning members and new potential members. Skate patrollers can participate in 1 or all of 3 programs (patrol WAR skates, teach at RCP clinic, or patrol RCP). Only an intermediate level of skill is required. There is a minimum fee of $23 of which WAR will subsidize $10 for active WAR members.
The kickoff meeting is from 9 AM until about 3:30 PM. Returning members can leave about noon. Bring skates.
